The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is a Canadian law governing the way the data of Canadian citizens is collected, used, and disclosed. It is not applicable to users who are not citizens of the country of Canada.
Why does RegisterBlast collect my information?
RegisterBlast is a system designed for universities to allow students to schedule activities online. These activities may include exam invigilation, individual appointments with advisors or other personnel, and other campus activities. We collect data consistent with the university's need to schedule such appointments.
What does RegisterBlast do with my information?
RegisterBlast presents the collected information directly to university staff and personnel who have been approved for access. It is never shared with any outside entity, nor used in a manner inconsistent with the above stated purpose.
Who is responsible for my data?
RegisterBlast employs a security officer whose duty is to maintain the integrity of our system and the collected data. Currently, this role is held by David Broome. He may be reached at securityofficer@registerblast.com should there be need for complaint.
How can I get access to my data?
Specific information is available by logging in to the RegisterBlast system and clicking the View Complete History link in the navigation bar.

What data does RegisterBlast collect about me?
RegisterBlast collects your given name, sur name and email address. In addition, RegisterBlast allows the administrator of the university to define additional information that is required for the activity in which you wish to participate. This data will be entered by you, or imported from information you provided to the university.
How long does RegisterBlast retain my information?
RegisterBlast retains the collected data in perpetuity, unless directed otherwise by the individual or the university. This data is used for historical reporting only, after its initial purpose of scheduling appointments.

RegisterBlast does not share your data with third parties. It is viewable only by RegisterBlast employees whose role requires access to this information, and the university administrator who is responsible for the activity to which you are registering.
