Rest assured that your personal information is secure and kept private. Encryption of your information begins during the buying process. To verify, you will notice the "http" switches to "https" in the address bar. The "https" is an industry standard and verifies all information will be securely transmitted over the Internet using strict protocols.

ACT-Residual

    Important
  • Only students who have applied, been admitted, or are enrolled at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campuses are eligible for residual testing.
  • A referral from Admissions or another office on the Minneapolis or St. Paul campus is required in order to test.
  • Also note that test scores will be reported ONLY to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. This is an ACT regulation and is strictly enforced.
  • Report time is no later than 8:15 AM.
  • The ACT takes about four (4) hours to complete.

  • With writing: $60
  • Without writing: $42


  • Test Day Requirements

    Take the following items with you to the Testing Center:

    1. Completed referral form from Admissions Office
    2. Official identification (driver's license, passport, or student ID) with a recent photograph
    3. A non-programmable calculator, if desired, for the math section only.

    Score Reporting
    Scores are reported by ACT within four weeks. Scores will be reported to the referring office (usually Admissions) on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campuses only. Students will need to contact that office to receive their scores.

    Retesting
    If Residual ACT Assessment was taken previously, you must wait 60 days before retaking it, but you may take the National ACT during this period.

Assessment & Inventories

The UCCS Test Center offers a variety of psychological assessments and career or interest inventories to UCCS customers. These assessments are NOT available to the general public, and can be taken by referral ONLY. If you are asked to take one or more assessments or inventories, please read and follow these instructions.
    Fees
  • Please note that prices vary by type of assessment or inventory, and by the specific type of report generated.
  • Be sure to register and pay for only the assessments or inventories and the specific reports you have been assigned.


  • Taking your Assessment or Inventory
  • In most cases, once you have paid the fee, the Testing Office will email you further instructions on how to take your assessment or inventory.
  • Most assessments or inventories can be taken at your own convenience on any computer with internet access using a browser such as Explorer or Firefox.
  • In some cases, you will need to schedule an appointment to take your assessment or inventory in the Testing Office.
  • Specific directions appear once you choose your assessment or inventory.


  • Results
  • You will need to see your counselor or participate in a group interpretation to review the results of your assessment or inventory.

    CLEP

      Important
    • All CLEP exams are offered on computer only.

      Registration and Test Fee
    • The non-refundable computer-testing fee is $30 per test, $40 if it includes an optional essay. This fee is in addition to the CLEP fee paid on test day and must be included with your registration.
    • Check with the college identified as your score recipient about policies in granting credit or acceptance of a specific test. For information about tests accepted for credit at the University of Minnesota, call 612 625-9886, or check the University's Admissions CLEP policy.


    • Test Day Requirements

      Take the following items with you to the Testing Center:

      1. Credit card, or check or money order made payable to "CLEP" for $77 per test.
      2. Registration confirmation or email confirmation if you registered online.
      3. Two forms of ID: 1. A current driver's license, passport, state or federal ID, tribal ID, or naturalization card or certificate of citizenship, PLUS 2. A current employee ID, student ID, social security card, military ID, or an unused ID from the choices listed for #1.

    Distance Learning

      The UCCS Testing Center provides testing to distance learners, both in paper/pencil and computer-based (web-based) formats. The Center is a member of the Consortium of College Testing Center, a service of the National College Testing Association. On the CCTC website, you can find test centers around the country, and some internationally, that provide testing to distance learners.

      You MUST contact the testing center at 612.624.3510, within 24 hours after registering for DISTANCE TESTING. There is REQUIRED information you MUST have in order to take the test. No exceptions.

    • ID Requirements

    • Two forms of identification, one with a photograph.

    • Score Reporting

    • Have the full mailing address or school code of each office to receive your MAT scores. Up to 3 score recipients may be designated at the time of testing with no added cost. Allow three to four weeks for your MAT results to be reported.

    • Retesting

    • It is essential that you take the correct form of the MAT. You must report whether you have taken the MAT previously and, if possible, when you took it, to assure that you get the proper form. If your previous testing was within the past year, you must present your "Retest Admission Ticket" in order to retest. You will NOT be admitted without it.
