The payment options for registering online are Visa, MasterCard or electronic check.
All test fees are non refundable. YOU MUST BE IN YOUR SEAT 30 minutes before your testing time.

ACT
The ACT is America's most widely accepted college entrance exam. It assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.- The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
- The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.
SPC grants college credit for the following ACT scores:
- ENGLISH ... (ENGL - 1301 & 1302) ... Score Requirement: 28
- COMPOSITE ... (ENGL - 1301 & 1302) ... Score Requirement: 28
- MATH ... (MATH - 1314) ... Score Requirement: 26

ACCUPLACER
The Accuplacer Test is a computerized testing system that helps place students into appropriate courses. The test assesses student's English, Reading and Math skills. The test is timed (2.5 hours), multiple choice and computer-adaptive.Report to the Testing Office located in the Student Services Building.
- YOU MUST BE IN YOUR SEAT 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR DESIGNATED TESTING TIME.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- The testing fee is $30. This can be paid online. The testing fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Important: Bring your driver's license or passport or state issued photo I.D.
- Important: Bring a document with your Social Security Number on it.
- Important: Do not bring cell phones, calculators, purses, backpacks, hats, caps or any other prohibited item with you to the testing site.

Associate Degree Nursing Program Entrance Exam (TEAS)- Students who have tested at Covenant School of Nursing and wish to sign up for a retest date, must bring their ATI PAPER/PENCIL ID NUMBER with them in order to test. Failure to bring the PAPER/PENCIL ID NUMBER will result in the student being denied testing.
The TEAS (Nursing Entrance Exam) is the first step to being admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program. This program is offered on the Levelland Campus twice a year (August & January).The timed computer test consists of:
Reading: 40 questions - 50 minutes
Math: 45 questions - 56 minutes
English: 55 questions - 65 minutes
Science: 30 questions - 38 minutes
1. SPC will only look at scores for reading, math and English.
2. The test and retest will be $40.00. Students must pre-register at least 3 days in advance.
3. Students must take the test on computer with us first in order for them to be eligible to retest.

CLEP
YOU MUST BE IN YOUR SEAT 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR DESIGNATED TESTING TIME. Report to the Testing Office, located in the Student Services Building, for testing.- Must be enrolled in order for scores to be transcripted on transcript at SPC.
- The CLEP test is a total of $100.00 with two separate payments.
- The testing fee of $20.00 plus $3.00 is paid online and is non-refundable and non transferable.
- The CLEP fee of $77 is paid in house at least 3 days prior to the CLEP testing date (check, money order or credit card). Checks and money orders for the CLEP fee must be payable to CLEP.
- Important: SPC College Policy states that a student cannot receive CLEP credit for any course that he/she has attempted (enrolled, dropped,withdrawn, etc).

- CLEP tests are computer-based and are 90 minutes long.
- You will get a printout of your CLEP scores immediately following the test.
- It takes approximately 2-3 weeks for your school to receive your score.
- You must wait 180 days before re-taking any exam.

Cosmetology Program Entrance Exam (Accuplacer - Cosmetology Version

Licensed Vocational Nursing Entrance Exam
Entrance Requirements
- All students who are applying for the Vocational Nursing Program must take the LVN Accuplacer Test.
- Students CANNOT take the THEA, ASSET, or COMPASS to apply for the Vocational Nursing Program.
- Students may test 2 times a semester.
You may not register to take the LVN Accuplacer Test unless you have an Application for Admission on file with SPC.

Proctored Exams
As a public service, South Plains College Testing Services supervises examinations for other institutions under the following conditions:- Arrangements for such testing must be made before the exam is sent to South Plains College.
- There is a charge of $20 for up to 4 hours for each proctored exam if you are not a SPC student currently or in the past. Payment will be handled online.
- Although every effort will be made to accommodate all requests, the actual scheduling of the examination may be determined by testing center hours, staffing, time of the term, etc.
- We will not fax tests, answer sheets, etc. to the home institution.
- We will not make special trips to the post office, UPS, FEDEX, etc. for quicker mailing. (If priority mail, etc. has been paid by your home institution or yourself, the envelope will go out with the regular pick-up or delivery which may be the following business day.)
