The purpose of this 132-hour course is to provide participants with an opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills in several primary areas of industrial maintenance. The course consist of 90 hours of Electrical Maintenance and 42 hours of Mechanical Maintenance. Upon successful completion of this course and a comprehensive final assessment, participants will receive a non-credit certificate of completion from Chattahoochee Technical College.

Electrical Maintenance portion of the course consists off the following modules:
Module 1 Introduction (24 hrs) - Basic Electricity, Safety and Arc Flash, Electrical Measurement
Module 2 - Industrial Motors (18 hrs) - Electric Motor Fundamentals, Types of Electric Motors, Electric Motor Nomenclature and Wiring
Module 3 - Industrial Wiring & Conductors (24 hrs) - Using the National Electrical Code Overload Protection, Conductor Sizing and Conduit Design
Module 4 - Motor Controls (24 hrs) - Contactors, Relays, and Motor Starters, Sensors and Controls, and Basic Motor Control Circuits

Mechanical Maintenance portion of the course consists of the following modules:
Module 1 - Introduction (6 hrs) - Mechancial Safety, Machines, Lubrication, Bearings
Module 2 - Hydraulics and Pneumatics (24 hrs) - Pneumatic and Hydraulic Principles, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems, and Control Devices and Actuators
Module 3 - Power Transmission (6 hrs) - Chain Drives and Belt Drives
Module 4 - Equipment Handling (6 hrs) - Lifting tools and equipment Cranes and Rigging, Powered Industrial Trucks for Maintenance

Class meets 9:00am - 4:30pm every Thursday,  January 22th, 2020 to May 6th, 2020

Location: Austell Campus

• If CTC deems it necessary to cancel a class or testing session for any reason, you will be able to receive a full refund or transfer to another class date or testing session, if available.
• Requests for refunds made at least 5 business days prior to a course beginning are subject to a 3% processing fee.
