BOMA/HVAC Program - Course 1

The Commercial HVAC Certificate Program is a unique partnership between the Builder Owners and Managers of Georgia (BOMA Georgia) and Chattahoochee Technical College. The program offers building engineers a five-semester HVAC program. Courses are topic-specific and advance their knowledge of commercial hearting, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Participants can begin the program at any course entry points (Course 1, Course 2, Course 3, Course 4, or Course 5).

This is BOMA/HVAC Course 1 which begins with an overview of thermodynamics and understanding the HVAC system. Additional topics include: chilled water systems; air cooled chillers; specifying and buying chillers; air handling system operation and maintenance; water source heat pump systems; components, operation and maintenance of heating systems; gas fired, combustion system operations; hot water systems; and steam heating and electric heating systems. The EPA exam is administered at the end of the course.

Class meets 5:00pm - 9:00pm every Thursday, January 16 to March 19, 2020

NOTE: This is not a hands-on course; you should already be working in the field

 

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • If CTC deems it necessary to cancel a class or testing session for any reason, you will be able to receive a full refund or transfer to another class date or testing session, if available.
  • Requests for refunds made at least 5 business days prior to a course beginning are subject to a 3% processing fee.
  • To request a refund please email corporatetraining@chattahoocheetech.edu.
  • There are no refunds for requests made less than 5 business days prior to a course beginning.
