Georgia State buildings and offices will close for Winter Break on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 5:15 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Even while campus is closed, several key student services will still be available to support students throughout the break. University Housing is open throughout winter break, and on-call staff are available as needed.  Both peer and professional support resources can also be accessed anytime at the Be Well website, and the LiveSafe App stays active 24/7 for safety needs. If you have specific requests during this time, refer to the university website. For more specific Student Success assistance, the Panther Answer knowledge base is also available 24/7.

If you wish to test virtually between December 19, 2025, and January 5, 2026, the deadline to submit a request for a virtual exam is 4 p.m. on December 19, 2025.

We cannot ensure requests received after this time will be able to be processed before our offices close for the Winter Break. As always, all registrations or requests for virtual exams should be done through our campus registration pages at Alpharetta Campus Atlanta Campus | Clarkston Campus Decatur Campus | Dunwoody Campus | Newton Campus

If you need emergency assistance, call Georgia State Police at 404-413-3333. For emergency on-call student counseling, call 404-413-1640. Students can also access free 24/7 virtual healthcare over the break by texting 404-236-6142 to connect with a provider.

We hope you have a joyful, restful and safe break. See you in 2026!

If you have applied to GSU and have a Panther ID # OR if you are 18 years old or older, please use this exam registration system to register for your exam.

  • Parents or guardians of minors (under 18) in need of proctoring who are not planning to attend GSU, please email the testing center so we can determine how we may be able to best assist you. Please note depending on who will be supervising the minor on campus, it may take 30-45 days to get approval to test the examinee; this may be expedited if the parent or guardian can stay on campus in the testing center with the minor while testing.
  • If a minor is planning on testing as a dual enrollment student, please have them apply and receive a panther ID # before testing.

Any appointments made through this system for a minor (under the age of 18) that does not provide a Panther ID # will be cancelled.
